ocial game startup Zynga has been into a few legal fights. First they settle down business with the Playdom you-stole-our-playbook fight, and then they have settled another lawsuit.

Mob Wars creator David Maestri sued Zynga for copyright infringement in February 2009. If you remember Zynga is the creator of the game Mafia Wars. Mafia Wars is a text-based game that is similar to Mob Wars. According to Maestri, it is a copy of Mob Wars.

The Maestri-Zynga lawsuit is over now. According to the rumor, Maestri demanded $10 million from Zynga and he has got a payment in the “high seven figures,” which may be $7 – $9 million.

The settlement seems to be very high. It’s because Mob Wars was getting an estimated $1 million/month at one point from users who wanted to upgrade their weapons and other stuff.
