The powerful attack that left computers at U.S. and South Korean government agencies useless for days was bigger than what it was thought of initially.  It also targeted the White House, the Pentagon and the New York Stock Exchange.

The cyber attack has some other important targets- the National Security Agency, State Department, Homeland Security Department, the Nasdaq stock market and The Washington Post. The data was captured from analysis of the malicious program used in the attacks.

The attack successfully limited public access to the web sites under attack. Few of the government sites were still facing problems. These govt departments include the Federal Trade Commission, Treasury Department, and Secret Service.  South Korean sites experienced cyber attack on Tuesday.
