General Motors new cars may soon appear on eBay. This experiment is a part of its turnaround plan. General Motors plans to try this new method of auctioning new cars on eBay.  Certified used GM vehicles are already available on the online marketplace.

GM CEO Fritz Henderson announced about the “innovative new partnership” with eBay Inc. wherein buyers in California would be able to bid on new GM vehicles as they would in a normal eBay auction. They will also be able to choose a “Buy it Now” option to purchase the car at a set price. The delivery would be done by the dealers.

Certified preowned GM vehicles are available for sale on eBay Motors, eBay’s online auto marketplace, along with other automakers’ cars. The new experiment is supposed to begin within “next couple of weeks.”
