20 January 2010 No Comment

The  ad-sponsored digital music download service FreeAllMusic.com had a deal with Universal Music which allows users to download music from the record label’s artists (including Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Jay Sean). The startup has got another deal with one of the major record labels: EMI Music.

Now, you can get of 20 free downloads per month, five per week, Via FreeAllMusic’s platform, which will have thousands of tracks to choose from. Using FreeAllMusic.com, you’ll be able to access downloadable, high-quality, iPod-compatible MP3s of which are advertiser-paid, free, legal, and unrestricted.

However, you will need to watch a video commercial per download on the site.

To download a free track, you will select a participating brand. You will have to watch a video advertisement from that brand before downloading. Some of the brands that are participating in the initial launch include Coca-Cola, Warner Bros, Lionsgate, Zappos, LG, and others.

According to a New York Times article from December, FreeAllMusic had already signed on another record label but declined to name the new label.
