Belkin has something new for you. It’s TuneCast Auto Live, which is an FM transmitter that will let you broadcast your iPhone’s audio using your car’s stereo system.

The TuneCast Auto Live hardware functions like that of current TuneCast models. You will be able to choose a broadcast frequency manually or using Belkin’s ClearScan station-seeking technology.

There is another iPhone app to control the new device, ClearScan Live. Download it from the iTunes App Store. You can change the transmission frequency, save presets, along with rating frequencies in your area. This app will use the iPhone’s GPS functionality to find out your geographic location and then provide you with the best “known” clear frequencies for the location.

TuneCast Auto Live will cost $80. It will be available in “early fall.” The iPhone app requires iPhone software 3.0 and it also works with the current iPod nano and iPod classic.
